Technology continues to rapidly advance the ways we work, acquire talent and connect as people. Since the pandemic, innovation has become even more pivotal with digitalization accelerating across the enterprise and in our homes. What I learned at the recent HR Technology Conference & Exposition, however, is that beyond productivity or work enablement, creating a satisfying talent experience or understanding people’s sentiments may be the most important function that HR technology can fulfill. People are looking to lead more meaningful and satisfying lives, and because work is such a big part of their routines, employers are expected to help support their desires. To meet such demands, organizations are increasingly turning to technology to enhance the talent experience, raise engagement and upskill users. What I found at the conference was an urgency among solution developers to give HR what it wants. From software that facilitates career mobility, to AI recruitment assistants designed to minimize bias, to tools that encourage workers to build content, we are living in one of the most exciting times in the HR industry. How can we further transform the future of work through innovation?
